This took place outside of Taos, New Mexico, on October 28th.
Watch the video. Can you not see the seething rage of the cop who got dissed, pulling out his gun and aiming it at unarmed kids? Can you feel it yourself as he goes out of control, eager to smash in a car window, spewing glass into a car full of small children?
This is the cult of compliance. This is what has replaced "Protect & Serve" in all but the empty words logoed on stationary and vehicles.
Then watch another cop, likely knowing nothing about the situation, with no one in any obvious danger of being hurt, as he fires at the van! (If he did know something about the situation - kids inside - there is even less reason to fire, but the fact is there is no reason to fire a deadly weapon in that situation in any case). He fired just because he could. Just because he knows he can get away with it.
Of course the woman shouldn't have done what she did. "Of course" the kid shouldn't have tried to defend his mother. But random people get upset and do stupid things. We think we pay police to behave calmly and rationally. But we don't. We are now paying them to worship at the altar of compliance and more and more often sacrifice to that God one victim and then another. Fortunately, in this case, said God had to make do with only a few drops of blood, not the corpses of children.
